THE POWER OF FORGIVENESS

This article gives you a brief understanding of forgiveness and how to apply it.                                 .. FORGIVENESS... FORGIVENESS..FORGIVENESS This word does not sound new I will start by defining it in my own understanding...This is a conscious and voluntarily change of  attitude and feelings towards an offender by the victim, letting go irrespective of the offense.

Why do people not forgive ? What are the reasons for unforgiveness ?

• Wickedness
• Hatred
• To proclaim justice
• Anger and bitterness
• Disobedience to God

There is no sin that cannot be forgiven bible refs Matt6:14-15;Acts3:19,Isaiah1:18,Isaiah43:25-26;Daniel9:9,Colossians1:13-14,Psalm103:12Psalm105:17-22

What do you do when someone sins against you and the person is not ready to REPENT?
Just forgive in your enlightened self interest. Your forgiveness can win a soul for Christ. Leave the offender to God. It makes you not to be the same level with the offender, it is divine.The offender sees your attitude and has no option but to change. It brings about hapiness😃😁😊.

How can I Forgive?
Here are the three Ds to forgive

1. You Decide: You cannot forgive except you have brought in a mind of consideration and conclude. Choose to obey God and resist the devil. Make a quality decision to always forgive.Matthew 6:12-13.
2. You Depend : You cannot forgive without the power of the Holy Spirit. It is too hard to do it on your own except by the help of the holy spirit. Humble yourself and cry to God for help. John 20:22-24.
3. You Do : Just obey what the Lord God says James 1:22

• Pray for your enemies
• Bless and do not curse your enemies Romans 12:14

BENEFITS OF FORGIVENESS

1. God takes charge
2. Forgiveness release God to do his work
3. Your fellowship with God flows freely  when you forgive.2Corithians2:10-11
