Power firm RWE has detected computer viruses on Germany's nuclear power plant, although the infections posed no threat to the plant. They said it didn't because it's control systems were not linked to the internet, so the viruses could not activate.
Some staffs found the viruses as they were preparing to upgrade the computerised control systems for the plant's Block B. The viruses were found on the fuel rod modelling system and on 18 USB sticks which were used as removable data stores on office campus.
