Greenhouse Tech Concept Could fill The 1.4 Million Tonne Gap of Tomato Production In Nigeria- says Walumbe

Mr. Oscar Walumbe the Integrated Project Manager Sustainable Livelihoods, Dizengoff Nigeria has said that Nigeria's consumption rate of tomatoes, reaches over 2.3 million tonnes but produces about 1.8 million tonnes locally.

 Mr. Oscar said Greenhouse Technology Concept could fill the 1.4 million tonnes gap that was used to be filled with importation of foreign tomatoes. He said the Dizengoff Farmers Kit (DFK) is a technology which was specifically developed to enable farmers produce high quality fresh tomatoes all year round in any part of Nigeria.
