EFCC To Investigate Godswill Akpabio Over Alleged N108 billion Fraud

The Economic and Financial crimes Commission (EFCC), has brought in fresh reports to investigate Senator Godswill Akpabio who was the former Governor of Akwa Ibom state over alleged N108 billion fraud.

According to Punch, the EFCC is investigating the former Governor over allegations that he embezzled N108 billion while he served as a Governor between 2007-2015.



 A source from the EFCC spoke to Punch saying "We have written to Zenith Bank Keystone Bank, FCMB Skye Bank and UBA demanding information on the state's accounts."

 Adding that "We are inviting the accountant-general the auditor-general the speaker and the clerk of the House of Assembly. we have traced some houses to the former Governor in Lagos and Abuja and it is just a matter of time before we seize them."
