Russia Fines Google $6.8 Million Over Breaking It's Antitrust Rules With Android

Google has being fined $6.8 million by Russian Antitrust officials on Thursday, saying that they broke the Antitrust rules of Android.




 $6.8 million might seem small for a multi-billion dollar search giant like Google, but it is significant.
 The Russian authorities in 2015, accused Google of favoring some of it's digital services over Russian based companies including Yandex.




 This came up after Yandex complained that it's Android services were not treated as supposed to in the Android platform. However, Google denied breaking the Russian Competition Rules.

 Google responded to this in a statatement, saying "We have received notice of the fine from F.A.S and will analyze closely before deciding our next steps."
