NDLEA Official Drowns While Trying To Pursue A Drug Lord

A sad news came from the Borno State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), as they confirmed the death of one of their official who drowned in a river at Maiduguri, while trying to pursue a bad drug lord (drug baron).




 According to source; Mr. Ona Ogilegwu who is the NDLEA Commandant in Borno state, revealed on Monday that the incident happened during an operation in Gwange area, Maiduguri.
 The Commanadant said, it was "In an effort to arrest a notorious baron, four men of the command were involved in a water mishap after diving into the Gwange River in pursuit of the suspect." The narcotic boss said that "the NDLEA officials were involved in the mishap because they could not swim."




 Ading that "the incident led to the death  of one of our officers in the hospital after a failed attempt to revive him."
 The Commandant still gave strong commitment, that the NDLEA would still go after the drug kingpings.
