Nigerian Army Opens Fire, Kills 8 Armed Bandits, Nabs 57 Others

The Nigerian Army has reportedly killed 8 armed bandits who were  believed to have being terrorizing the Bosso Local Government Area of Niger State. Meanwhile, 57 others were nabbed by the soldiers.

The bad gang actually killed 11 Nigerian Soldiers and according to source the Nigerian Army Spokesman Col. Sani Usman revealed this, saying that the operation followed intelligence on the activities of some gun dealers and armed bandits in 3 villages in the area that included Kopa, Dagma and Gagwa in Niger State.



 The Army spokesman revealed that items such as 3 AK-47 rifles , 10 local AK-47 rifles, 9 local pistols, 6 revolver guns, 45 loaded den guns, 10 clubs and cudgels, 41 arrows, 18 bow cases, 122 cutlasses and machetes, 20 daggers, 31 axes, 63 rounds of 7.62 ammunition, Bajaj motorcycles, charms and mullets, 2 vehicles, 38 mobile phones, a wrist watch, five identity cards passport photographs, N23,870, 5 Japanese Yen and 35 different denominations of old Nigerian currency 15 catapults, eight torchlights, two gun powder bottles , 4 empty cases of ammunition and 41 cartridges were all gotten from the bandits.
 Col. Sani said that "the military will continue to deal with any violent threat to our national security."
