PAINFUL: PhD Graduand Dies On Convocation Day
A Painful incident happened on Saturday as a PhD graduand at the University of Illorin (UNILORIN) named Abdul Hafeez Adedimeji died on the day he was expected to receive his doctorate degree at the convocation ceremony.
The Dean, Faculty of Post Graduate Studies, Professor Badmus Yusuf informed the people present at the ceremony about the death of the graduand, it left the people shocked and unhappy.
Abdul Hafeez Adedimeji was supposed to be among the 166 who were to receive their doctoral degrees at the convocation..
The Vice Chancellor of UNILORIN, professor Abdulganiyu Ambali stated that 67 of the 6,069 graduands for first degrees had first class, which was an improvement compared to that of 2015 were there only 41 fist class graduands.
