UK Begins Testing Of Driverless Cars In Public

Driverless car in UK

For the first time ever, a two-seater electric vehicle has being tested publicly in the United Kingdom.
The vehicle reportedly travelled in a 1 km loop on the pavements around the town’s station.

Programme Director Neil Fulton said “This public demonstration represents a major milestone for autonomous vehicles in the UK and the culmination companies and experts.”

The autonomy software that runs on the vehicle is called selenium and it was developed by Oxford University’s Oxford Robotics Institute and integrated by Oxford University Spinout Company Oxbotica.

Hope to see something like this coming to life in Nigeria.
