Cross River State Commences Recruitment Of Homeland Security

Following the passage of the Cross River Homeland Security Bill into law in August 19th 2016, the Cross River State Government has announced that they have started the recruitment of personnel.

 According to CrossRiverWatch, the Chief Press secretary to the Governor of Cross River State, Mr. Christian Ita disclosed this in a statement saying that the recruitment exercise is done with collaboration with the Nigerian Police Force.

 For one to be eligible for the recruitment, the applicant must not be less than 6 feet tall and should also be a University degree holder or a Higher National Diploma (HND) holder.
 The statement revealed that no fewer than 3,000 young people would be recruited into the outfit.
 The Governor of Cross River State, Senator Ben Ayade recently speaking on this said, “The Cross River State Homeland Security is a complete departure from what is the tradition, it will, however, include but not limited to issues like intelligence, profiling of visitors coming in and out, doing neighbourhood check and neighbourhood watch.



 It will also assist in furnishing the Police and other security agencies with information on who comes in and out of the state by providing intelligence data to Police. It will be non-arm bearing.”

Hello Eugene Stephen, since the statement says the outfit is in
collaboration with the Police Force. I will kindly suggest you inquire
from the Police headquarters in Calabar for in-depth details on what
is required for the recruitment.
