Many Die As Nigerian Troops Engage in Battle with Boko Haram in Borno
No fewer than 15 Boko Haram members were killed in Borno State on Friday as Nigerian military troops of Operation Lafiya Dole engaged in long fierce battle with Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.
The battle was said to begin at 6 am on Friday and it lasted for hours.
The battle started when the Boko Haram members launched a surprise attack on troops at Rann, Borno, they opened fire and shot with no direction.

Then the troops from 3 Battalion and 112 Task Force Battalion responded and killed many terrorists and wounded several others.
The battle went on for hours. Four Nigerian soldiers were wounded after the battle and they are currently receiving treatment.
Some sources said arms and ammunition gotten from the Boko Haram included FN rifles, one M21 rifle, 110*7.6 mm NATO ammunition, 20*7.62 mm special 40*M21 rounds, 4*FN extra magazine and two locally made explosives.
This battle appears to be the first battle after the Nigerian military claimed to overpower the Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau appeared in a new video claiming his terror group had not being defeated.
But the Nigeria Army still shuns the video saying its propaganda.
