Tragedy: Dangote Truck Crushes Nigerian Senator To Death

One of the trucks belonging to the Dangote Group plc had on Friday reportedly crushed Senator Abdulkarim Mukhtar to death.

 The second Republic Senator died while traveling with his brother and driver between Kano and Zamfara states on Friday when a Dangote truck smashed his vehicle, leaving him to die on the spot.

 His brother Mr. Buhari Abdulkarim and his driver were injured in the accident and they are receiving medical attention at the Usman Dan Fodio University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Somoto.




Abdulkarim Mukhtar was an indigene of Talata Mafara, and he was born in Zurmi, Zamfara State. During his lifetime he was a civil servant, politician, educationist and culture enthusiast. He also did some poetry and he was a novelist.
