7 Die, Others Injured as Two Vehicles Collide in Katsina

No fewer than 7 persons have being confirmed dead in a road accident involving two vehicles at Fanga village along Katsina/Kano road on Wednesday evening.

 13 other people sustained injuries in the accident and were receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Kankia.

 According to the Katsina Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Abdu-Sule Bagadawa who confirmed the incident said, it was caused by wrong overtaking and over speeding.

 The two vehicles involved in the accident according to him are Volkswagen Golf 111 with REG number: RRN 312 XA and Sharon with REG number: KMC 650 AA.

 The FRSC Boss said, the driver of one of the vehicles wrongly overtook the other while on a top speed, resulting in the fatal accident.
