Policemen Allegedly Shoots UNIOSUN Student

An incident occurred at Oke Baala area of Osogbo, Osun state capital as some policemen on mofty wears allegedly opened fire on some students that were playing ball at the Osun State University (UNIOSUN) on Saturday.

 It was learnt two students were unluckily hit by bullet; one of them was identified as Abiola Kazeem who was hit on the stomach and was referred to LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Osogbo where he is currently receiving treatment.

 The other victim identified simply as Ibrahim was said to have been hit by the bullet in the mouth. He is currently receiving treatment at our Lady of Fatima Hospital at Jolayemi area of Osogbo.

 Some students at the area explained that the policemen came to the football pitch and started shouting “Yahoo Boys, Yahoo Boys” and before they knew it they opened fire on the students.

 Currently, there is massive protest on major streets of Osogbo by students of the Osun State University as others join them to protest the shooting of their students.
