Cross River Garment Factory Agrees to Produce Over 100K Uniforms for Officers of Nigerian Peace Corps
The Nigerian Peace Corps has made an agreement with the Cross
River State Government to produce about 100,000 uniforms for the officers and
men of the Nigerian Peace Corps from the State-Owned Garment Factory.
Prof. Ben Ayade ,the Governor of Cross River, who disclosed
this at the garment factory site shortly after his arrival from his stay
abroad, said Peace Corps has engaged the Cross River Garment factory to produce
100, 000 uniforms for the organization.

the Deputy National Commandant (Administration), Nigerian Peace Corps, Dr. Edet
Bassey Ekpenyong, said that the garment factory reputed to be one of the
largest in the world is well positioned to provide services to Africa in the
area of garments.
Also speaking, the Deputy National Commandant
(Administration), Nigerian Peace Corps, Dr. Edet Bassey Ekpenyong said that his
organization is fully committed to working with the Cross River State
Government to ensure the Corps gets the
best deal on the production of their uniforms.
The Nigerian Peace Corps aims and objectives is to “Train,
Educate and Re-orientate the Youths on their future leadership roles in the
society, the Art of nation building, Respect for Constituted Authorities, the
Rule of Law and Democratic Principle as well as imparting a high sense of
citizenship and good leadership in the youths.”
