NCC Named Best Government Agency in Nigeria
The
Leadership Newspapers has on Saturday Night named the Nigerian Communications
Commission (NCC) as the best government agency in Nigeria and the Vice
Chairman, Prof. Umar Danbatta received the award on behalf of the commission.
This came up
a few hours after Tony Ojobo, NCC’s Director of Public Affairs, received the
GRANDIX International Award for Excellence and National Development for 2016,
the EVC/CEO of NCC.
The award
ceremony was attended by important dignitaries and many others, held at the
International Conference Centre in Abuja.
A statement
by the commission Sunday afternoon, said ”despite broad spectrum of criteria
used to arrive at the decision, the jury plausibly had no difficulty in
choosing the Nigerian Communications Commission as Nigeria’s very best public
sector organisation.
”This award,
again swelled the Commission’s trove of honours, confirms it as a world-class
organisation, and patently speaks to NCC’s pre-eminence in the comity of
national public sector agencies.”
