Kanu Nwankwo, Others, to stage All-Stars Match for Victims of Football Tragedy in Calabar

Nwankwo Kanu, an ex-Nigerian International would be part of the players lined up for an all-Star football match to raise funds for electrocuted victims at football viewing centre in Nyaghassang Community, Calabar, Cross River state.

 recall that a  high-tension cable, collapsed on the roof of the viewing centre constructed with Zinc, when some football fans were watching Man United vs Anderlecht match in the UEFA Europa league quarter finals.

 The staging of the match comes up after an elder stateswoman Florence Ita-Giwa led hundreds of mourners and sympathizers on a candle-light procession through the community to the scene of the incident where it became clear that 8 people died.
