Over 100 Million Nigerians Cook Food with Firewood-OFFICIAL

An official has announced that no fewer than 30 million households and more than 100 million Nigerians depend on firewood as a source of energy for cooking.

Mr. Dayo Adeshina, the President, Nigerian Liquefied Petroleum Gas Association (NLPGA), stated this on Friday to the Media.

He decried the low level of LPG usage in Nigeria, Adeshina said many Nigerians cook with firewood inspite of its attendant collateral damage to the environment and their immediate health.

He however urged the Nigerian government to promote the usage of LPG popularly known as cooking gas, among Nigerians.
