Cross River is Lagging Behind, we need Prayers-Ayade
The Governor
of Cross River state, Senator Ben Ayade has called on Cross Riverians to pray and
support his administration as a lot more needs to be done to get to where the
state needs to be and deliver on his election promise.
This was
revealed in a statement signed by his Media aide, Mr. Christian Ita and issued on Monday in his
Democracy day message to Cross Riverians where he said the state is not where
it used to be as a lot has been achieved since he assumed office exactly 2
years ago.
“In two years,
we can boldly say that our civil servants are not hungry as salaries remain
paid as at when due, our garment factory, which has provided employment for
thousands of our people has since commenced production, our 21 megawatts power
plant to boost electricity supply within Calabar is nearing completion.
“Detailed
designs for our signature 275 km superhighways and Bakassi deep seaport have
been completed and preliminary works have since commenced as we arrive to
decouple the state from federal allocation,” the statement read.
The
statement quoted Ayade as saying that Cross Riverians should not lose focus or
hope in him as he is aware the state is not where it is supposed to be and
reassured of his commitment to deliver on his campaign promises.
“It is
obvious that we are not where we ought to be, but we are certainly not where we
used to be. Don’t lose faith, don’t lose focus, entertain no fear, pray for me,
pray for my team, for we are on course to deliver to you a Cross River of your
dream,” the statement read.
The
statement was released alongside sponsored pictures of completed projects and
quotes of high profile personalities on Governor Ayade’s style of leadership and vision.
