9mobile customers in Cross River are getting fed up as network is getting worse
It has being
reported that close to a week, 9mobile network has been down in Cross River
State and the management has not informed the public what may be responsible.
But when a
source visited other network providers in Calabar, a large number of customers
were seen buying new lines as they were disappointed at the attitude of
9mobile, “We are frustrated as we cannot not connect to our family members;
love ones, friends and business associates” they lamented.
Calls
operators using 9mobile also alleged that they have recorded poor businesses
for close to a week and apprehensive about the development.
Miss Regina
Akpan told of Dailypost revealed that close to a week, she has not used 9mobile
to do business as the network has been down. “I have recorded poor businesses
close to a week now,” she lamented.
She said,
“It has not been so bad but what I have experienced these few days calls for
concern. I was expecting that the change from Etisalat to 9mobile would bring
good fortune to us the users of the network, but from what I have seen, one has
to consider so many options.”
Disappointed,
Akpan said she has lost over N15,000 during the period of no service and in
addition, most of her customers are patronizing other call business operators
who use other networks. “I have been one of those who make good noise about
9mobile, but what I have experienced these days, my mouth cannot explain.”
Consequently,
the management of 9mobile, according to our source has not informed the
customers why they are out of service. When Owojela’s Blog visited 9 Mobile
offices at Etta Agbor in Calabar, many customers were seen complaining of no
service. They said changing from 9mobile at this time to another network will
affect their businesses.
Chief Ekanem
Okon said that he thought his phone and Laptop were faulty but was told when he
visited the office that the services of the company (9 Mobile) was out since
yesterday, “my annoyance was that the management has not told us that the
service was temporarily out and some customers have taken their equipment to
repairers, thinking that they are faulty.”
Several
efforts made to speak with the management of 9mobile at Etta Agbor office in
calabar failed as the staff referred us to Lagos and declined further comment.
When asked for the Manager or Deputy, the staff became infuriated and left.
At the time
of filling this report, many customers were still been seen entering the
9mobile office asking for what has happened to the network, saying that ”when
former management, Etisalat was on board, this nonsense was not experience”
