Buhari vs Atiku: INEC announces winner of presidential election in Cross River

President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has being defeated by the  presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar in Cross River State.



Atiku polled 295,737 votes to defeat his main rival, Buhari, who had 117,302 in the state.

The result was announced by the state collation officer, Prof. A.O. IBHADODE  at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, collation center in Abuja, on Tuesday.


According to Prof. A.O. IBHADODE , the total number of registered voters included: 1,512,915; total number of accredited; 461,033: total votes cast; 446,046

total valid votes: 421,901 and rejected votes include: 24,145
