How Wegodigiteens is Building a Community of tech Entrepreneurs in Africa


Wegodigiteens is a tech entrepreneurship organization with the goal of creating Teens tech entrepreneur in African Landscape, changing the world's perception in view of technology as we grow, groom and become a platform for teenagers to innovate their ideas.


In getting to this goal, a tech skill acquisition program was held at Akai Effa government secondary school in Cross River State, which lasted for 3 days.
The participants were taught some amazing skills like word processing, game App development from scratch, with some other skills. Over a 100 student were impacted comprising of the SS1 and SS2 pupil.
On the course of this training An Arcade Game was developed by a student named Itekong Ndifon.


There was also a Social Media and content development conference, held at West African People Institute (WAPI). With the theme : Redefining the Use of Social Media for an African Child.
The students were tutored on how to use social media, the right content to share (posts on social media), how to advertise their brands and meet their target audience using social media tools.
They were also inspired to take up job roles such as content developers, curators and social media managers amongst others. The program was graced by amazing personalities such as Elizabeth ita, Patrick Dominic and Patrick Ndidan with over 82 students in attendance.


A Grand Tech training was organized for the females, with aim of inspiring young girls to take up careers in tech especially coding, the theme was Girls Can Code.
The participants were enlighten on how the Tech world works and how to stand out as an amazing teen techpreneur despite cyber challenges.
Nevertheless the grand program was graced by a collection of elegant speakers which are Jane Odey (Technovation Regional Ambassador), Victory Onah, Covenant Nse and Precious John. With over 60 students as beneficiaries.

Furthermore, An ICT SKILLS PLATFORM was set up also known as wegodigiteens Virtual Community which is aimed at connecting teen techpreneur to opportunities and a wealthy network of knowledge in tech and other platforms where their tech skills and business can scale ways into the audience market,  this platform is open to all and invitation of friends is highly welcomed.

Another interesting project on the list of many others, is the tech workshop in partnership with Okare's Sickle cell Foundation at the American corner, Calabar with the aim of creating awareness on sickle cell disorder and empowering those with the disorder with ICT skills and it promises to hold another of it kind in the future.
